I'm having a problem with one particular user trying to use Outlook Anywhere (RPC over HTTP). I've been going back and forth with this user for some time, and I think we've narrowed it down to something that is specific to her account or set up. Environment: Outlook 2007 cached on Windows XP or Vista, Exchange 2007, and a WatchGuard Firewall/VPN, self-signed cert.

Outlook Anywhere works for all other users without issue except this one. They can get in to OWA no problem, which uses the same external address that Outlook Anywhere is using. This user works at home, and never comes to the main office. A tech that is pretty knowledgeable about these things, was helping her get everything set up properly, since she has had a ton of other problems, which are now solved. What happens? When the user connects to Outlook Anywhere, they will never get prompted for their credentials, and Outlook will continue to try and reconnect with no success. As soon as she connects to the VPN, Outlook nearly immediately wakes up, asks for her credentials, and Outlook connects and starts updating her mailbox.

The tech had also tried using her credentials at his office, on Outlook 2010, 2007 and 2003, and was not able to connect on Outlook Anywhere. So, from what we can tell, something is wrong with the configuration of her account. First, has anyone experienced this before?

I know the odds but if they were both using a browser incompatible they may get the same result. If you test the user account from your computer does it work?
