If Internet Explorer opens multiple tabs when you start the browser, multiple URLs have likely been saved in the Home Pages field in the Internet Options settings. You may have visited a site that added the URLs, or your computer may be infected with malware. Several viruses are known to write URLs to your Internet Options. You can change the URLs back to the URL for your selected home page from either Internet Explorer or from the Windows Settings menu. However, the malware still may reside on the computer. Be sure to remove the malware with an anti-virus program to stop further damage to your machine.
