This article refers to QuickBooks Online As you collect sales tax from your customers, you'll periodically want to see the amounts of sales tax you owe to tax agencies. In the Sales Tax Center, you can view a report about your sales tax liability and you can also record, edit or delete your sales tax payments. Sales Tax Center is the best place to record sales tax payments because you can see all your recent payments on a single page.
You can view your sales tax owed by month, quarter, or year, and adjust which period you need. You can also adjust your accounting basis (cash or accrual). Note: If you don't see the settings below, you may be using Auto Sales Tax feature. See for more information. View sales tax liability report: • Select Taxes from the left menu. • Choose View Report. • The report shows each agency, the taxable amount of sales, and the tax owed.

I swear to Jesus Christ, this is as simple as it gets. Thank to Tanner's geniusness, we were able to install the (less dumb version of Bootcamp) application 'Wine Bottler' which is used for converting any Windows application to a Mac compatible one--precisely which we'd done to Steam. Once this is done, you can play any Windows-only Steam game on your Mac. It's EASY, it's SIMPLE, and it will only take 15 minutes to a half an hour of your time--which is worth it for an eternal revolutionization of gaming for your face!! Once again, thank you dear Tanner--check him out in my Featured Channels list.
• To make an adjustment to the amount, select Make Adjustment and enter information about the adjustment. • Any notes about the payment you want to make. • If you do not need to print the sales tax check, select Record Tax Payment. • If you need to print a check for the payment, check ' Print a Check' and choose Record Payment and Print Check.
This sends the check to your Print Checks queue where you can then select the check and print it. Note: The Make Adjustment option is used to decrease or increase the amount of Sales Tax owed. Examples of these include credits, discounts, fines, interest, penalties, and corrections for rounding errors. When entering the Adjustment you need to enter the dollar amount, either positive or negative, a reason (optional), and the account used to categorize the adjustment.
Don't use the Sales Tax Payable account, the adjustment won't post correctly. Instead: • Credit or need to apply a discount? Choose an income account, such as Other Income • Fine, penalty, or interest due?
Choose an expense account • Rounding error? Choose an income account for negative errors, or an expense account for positive ones. Note: After a successful deletion this page does not refresh. Do not try to delete the payment again as this will display an error message, saying that it cannot be deleted because it’s already deleted! To confirm that the payment has been successfully, exit and then return to the Sales Tax Center. Edit a tax payment amount: QuickBooks Online does not allow you to edit a tax payment; rather, you have to delete the payment and record a new one.
Use the preceding steps to first delete, then record a new payment. View a report of all your sales tax payments: • Select Taxes from the left menu. • Under Recent Sales Tax Payments, choose View All. • You'll be taken to a transaction report that lists all your sales tax payments. You can adjust the date range or select Customize to further narrow this report for your needs. Troubleshooting common errors: • An error occurred while deleting the transaction: We're sorry, we can't delete filed tax right now.
Please try again later. • We're sorry, we can't deactivate the sales tax you selected.
