Honestly, I don't see any benefit of it over PHT. Download These are just some of my issues with it: I can only see 'on deck' TV shows/movies. To get to my list of all TV shows, I have to click a random episode of whatever, go to the 3-dot menu, scroll down to all TV shows and press ok. Apple remote issue 1: no way as yet to start PMP with the remote (was a feature in PHT) Apple remote issue 2: up/down no longer control volume, but skip forward/backward 10 mins Apple remote issue 3: left/right buttons only work once. In PHT, you can use the left/right buttons to skip 30s at a time. This is really useful for TV shows with ridiculously long intros (I'm looking at you, Homeland!) In PMP, pressing left or right skips 30s but then keeps the navigation menu open.

This means that the left/right buttons now navigate within that menu, rather than skipping. Lack of options compared with PHT. Excel for dummies mac.

Personally, I much prefer the PHT UI and design. It's beta/preview. Of course it has a way to go, OP's question was whether it has been improving since release. And the answer to that is that PMP has had 1 update so far, with mainly fixes. Version 1.0.1.42 was just uploaded to PlexPass preview users.

In this release we focused mostly on the most annoying crashes and bugs that we could close in a quick fashion, some smaller features, but nothing earth shattering. I also want to make sure to thank Chris Lee and Cory Parsons that quickly contributed some really nice changes to PMP. Installing: For OSX and Embedded users you just need to change the update channel (under Settings-Main) to PlexPass and you should see the update start downloading in the background (restart/relaunch will trigger the update process), there is no UI indication of an update being downloaded or any button to manually search for updates yet. Turns out that there is a bug here that you can't select the channel. We will investigate, but upgrade manually for now. This is why it's a preview release! On Windows there was a bug in the auto-updater so you will need to follow these steps to upgrade: • Exit Plex Media Player • Kill the process called PMPhelper in the task manager • Uninstall the old version of PMP • Install new version of PMP Going forward the auto-updater should work even on windows.
