Hi, I have a MacBook Air and my Passport won’t let me add new files to it. I’ve never had this problem before; I can open the files I have on the Drive, but cannot alter them. I used to have a PC and used the drive for that as well. I have managed to reinstall XP onto my desktop PC but I am unable to open my backup files contained on the external drive. I also tried to access them using my new laptop with WIN7 home premium, but everytime I connect the drive I get a message popup which tells me that the drive needs to be formatted.

Hello there, Recently my Alienware Alpha running Windows 10 has refused to open my hard drive made by Western Digital. My computer recognizes the drive, but it only appears as Local Disk (D:) or (E:), when previously displayed as My Passport (D:). The Device Manager doesn't show any damaged drivers, and displays the drive as made by Western Digital. Any attempt to open, right click, or access the drive results in the crash of Windows Explorer. Disk Management displays the disk as a RAW file system at 100% empty, even though it is NTFS and I can read the files on my Mac.
