Kensington expert mouse optical wired usb trackball for pc and mac - black

The Expert Mouse Wireless Trackball from Kensington unchains you from the constraint of USB cables with dual wireless connectivity. This trackball connects to your computer via a 2.4 Ghz USB nano receiver or Bluetooth 4.0 Smart (LE) and features a DiamondEye optical sensor for precise cursor control.

The Kensington Expert Mouse Optical USB Trackball for PC or Mac 64325 is probably the best track ball around, but it is very expensive, its ball moves like treacle until it is worn in (which is a slog for a few days) and some people find it too big for their hands. The Logitech Trackman Marble Mouse mouse is a good, inexpensive, simple track ball, but it does not have any reasonable scrolling mechanism. Most of the others out there also have some or other problem.

For example, my Microsoft Trackball Explorer has a sticky track ball and the buttons under the thumb just don’t seem quite right. The Logitech Trackman Wheel Optical (Silver) has very good button placement, a scroll wheel and the track ball under the thumb makes for very quick pointer movement, but it is difficult to position the pointer precisely with your thumb.

This one, on the other hand, has everything correct: There are no drivers to fiddle with. Just plug it in.

The price is reasonable. The size is suitable for large or small hands. The ball is positioned under the fingers for precise positioning and it spins freely from the start. There is a scroll ring and it spins smoothly and freely.

The buttons are a bit further from the ball than I expected, but one quickly adapts and their position means that the force is primarily downwards rather than sideways, which reduces the unit’s tendency to move on a smooth surface. I’ve owned various trackballs over the years (Logitech Cordless Trackman, Logitech Trackman FX, Logitech Marblemouse, the Original Kensington Orbit, and more) as I have been fighting the onset of Carpal Tunnel. The ball on this one is the best of the bunch except for the long discontinued Trackman Fx. In comparison to the original Orbit, the scroll wheel is a dream and a must have for any trackball made today. I wish it had more than 2 buttons, but if you download mouse gestures for your browsers, it’s not a deal breaker, especially for the price.

All in all, it is a reasonably priced trackball with a very comfortable design and a fantastic ball. Pros: Great Ergonomics (doesn’t hurt my wrist one bit) Almost Perfect Accuracy (I use Photoshop for a living so bad accuracy would have killed it for me) Well Priced (Less than [] Bucks when on sale) Best Scroll mechanism of the bunch (Used Logitech’s scroll wheel and the scroll ring on this blows it away) Comes with wrist pad Cons: Only two buttons Rating: 5 / 5 • Comment by on August 25, 2010 at 3:39 am. The new Kensington trackball mouse is a welcome improvement to their product line. The trackball itself was smooth and glitch-free. There was no product set-up on any of my computers; just plug it in to the USB port and it was up and running.

And that was for Windows 2000 as well as Windows XP Pro. The feature that we found most exciting and extremely useful was the new scroll wheel. Forge for new minecraft launcher mac. Being horizontal made it easy to access with fingers on either side of the trackball.

It worked flawlessly with Word as well as all of my other programs.” Sincerely, Fred Ginsburg C.A.S. I bought this to replace a Logitech Marble Mouse trackball. The Logitech device was interfering with tabs in Safari (Mac).
