However, now that they are using the pc, they called and said I forgot the autocomplete file. I have been searching and can not find an article that explains how to do this, or even where to find the autocomplete file on mac. To make matters worse, after unplugging the mac and moving it a bit (they still wish to have it on site as a reference computer.) they Mac makes the chime sound when powered on, but goes to a black screen. Since you referenced Outlook in the title, I believe that the user is referring to the.nk2 file. Nothing specific to Mac. It's a MS thing. The only reason I thought of it is because I've had to edit it in the past. A little google-fu shows this for Windows, I know, not entirely helpful in your situation, but it gives you some info on what you're looking for. On Mac, Outlook stores info in 'Identities'. A little more google-fu shows that the file, called a '.x19_4.olk14Recent', or something similar.

You can search the Mac for that. But that's your other problem right now. You aren't getting a GUI on the Mac. Shouldn't be a problem if it's booting and on the network. Use putty from the Windows box to ssh in and find the file. Winscp can be used to copy it over. And the other problem is probably that you can't just rename the file and drop it in place on the Windows box.

I'm guessing you will need something like this tool to edit/export/format the file for Windows version of Office. If you would indulge me a second, I want to offer another perspective and move off topic a bit with the goal of maybe providing a better long term solution for your user. Your user is operating under a very dated paradigm.
