Excel For Mac 2008 Conditional Formatting Guide
In MSoffice for Mac 2008. I have been using Excel 2007 for windows for a worksheet that requires 7 conditional formats, to apply colors to a cell, but Mac Excel only allows 3. Submitted: 8 years ago. Create a List in Excel 2008 I was surprised to find a List Wizard in Excel 2008 (Mac) because Excel 2007 (Windows) has Tables, and had already been out for nearly a year when Excel 2008 was released.
Not enough detail to answer. Basically, you do it the same in Excel 2008 as you do on the PC. Search for 'duplicate' in the Excel Help and it shows two techniques. Give me more detail on what you need and we can be more help. These numbers are received from 6 separate pipe yards. I have all ID numbers in a column where I want to identify if I have entered a duplicate value/ID number by using conditional formatting highlighted cell rule, duplicate values. In Excel 2008 under conditional formatting there is no selection for Highlighted Cell Rules, Duplicate Values. There is equal to, greater than, less than etc.
I would like to know if there is a way to identify (highlighted cell) if I enter a duplicate value by having Excel identify this and warn me I already have this value in this column. On my PC I have Excel 2007 which has the option to select duplicate values. If this is possible in Excel 2008 please advise how to do it because I can not find it. Excel 2007's data visualization feature automatically gives every cell in a range a color, icon, or data bar according to its value. If you are analyzing a small number of values, this makes it easy to see which ones met your target goals. But what if you are examining a list with 100 rows of data? In this case, you will want to use Excel's conditional formatting feature to build rules for marking only the cells outside your target range of values.
