Best Mac Laptops For Graphic Design
But what really makes this laptop the best choice for artists and graphic designers is the 12.5-inch 4K Touch Display screen. It delivers 100 percent Adobe RGB color space coverage for incredibly bright images at an unparalleled resolution of 3840 x 2160.
Hi everyone, I am looking for some feedback and input on deciding on which MacBook to purchase that would be best suited for my job requirements. I am a Graphic Designer and spend most of my time working simultaneously between Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Bridge and iMovie. I also am part of a telework program, working both from my home office and the main office at the company I work for.
I currently work off of a Mid 2010 (purchased in 2006) 21.5' iMac with 3.06GHz Intel Core i3 Processor and ATI Radeon HD 4670 256 mb Graphics card. I have the same computer both at work and at home, purchased within a year of each other and both computers still function perfectly for an everyday user (internet, email, microsoft office programs) but they just cannot keep up to the Adobe programs anymore. Slow response times and lagging in programs and some of the newer features in Photoshop aren't supported by the graphics card. I love my desktop, but with commuting to work and being between two offices I feel that a MacBook would be a better choice. I am not super fluent with the technical aspects (processors) and tend to get a little lost when comparing all the different models. I would like to know what I need to support all the programs I work in and of course which will obviously provide me the longest lifetime. Unfortunately I cannot use my current desktops (too old) as a second screen option which would have been ideal, so I'm also wondering if I'll be able to work off the 15' monitor screen of a MacBook, or if I should save some money, purchase a smaller screen model and additionally purchase a second monitor.
I already have the mouse and keyboards for both desktops. Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance, AC. Do an SSD and Memory upgrades for your MBP and iMac.
I did and my Macs perform great now. Partition mac disk for windows. I installed a 500gb SSD and am running boot camp with dual boot El Capitan and MS-Windows-10 Both operating systems perform flawlessly on the Macbook Pro. I am running Adobe CS6, iWork, iMovie, Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, Garage Band, Sony Sound Forge, and MS-Office. Applications open instantly. Music creation and movie rendering is quick.
The hardware upgrade can be done for as little as $112 SSD - OCZ Trion 150-series ( 240gb. ) - $56 Memory - 16gb. Crucial memory for Mac - $56 How-to videos.
